Dr. Bradley Strauss presents Kinesyx Oligomer Coating on Stent at CRT 2009

Toronto, Canada, March 5, 2009 - FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Interface Biologics Inc. announced that Bradley Strauss, M.D., Ph.D., FACC, presented data for the KinesyxTM bioactive oligomer technology for stent coating at the Cardiovascular Research Technologies meeting in Washington DC.

KinesyxTM molecules are surface pacifying oligomers that incorporate pharmaceuticals and biologics with programmable release profiles and have shown consistent results in preclinical studies.  "Essentially, the Kinesyx-coated "Drug Eluting stent" metamorphoses into a "Bare Metal Stent" as the oligomer coating is bio-eliminated after delivering the required therapeutic dosage.  This reduces surface mediated thrombus formation while maintaining a short residency time on the stent surface.", explained Dr. Strauss, Director, Interventional Cardiology Research, Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre. "The KinesyxTM technology is an exciting new development in the evolution of cardiac stent solutions."

"Dr. Strauss' presentation is a major milestone for the company as this is the first time that Interface Biologics has presented data at a major cardiovascular research conference", said Thomas P. Reeves, President & CEO of Interface Biologics Inc.  "The presentation underscores both the strength of KinesyxTM science as well as the novelty of our approach to the complex issues of drug delivery and healing with coronary stents."
